Fin' in Croatia

Day 3.  We woke up around like 12 ish, and had a few hours to chill.  So we walked around the center of Novalja, and had some pastries and a drink for 18 kuna, or about 3 bucks.  It's awesome how cheap things are.  We got some souvenirs, walked to the beach, and walked back to the restaurant next to the apartment to get some more beefsteak and goat cheese. Before we headed out, we had to get our passports from the landlord,  but only the grandma was awake, and she spoke only Deutsch and Hrvatski.  So she had to wake up her son because he spoke some English.  We got our stuff, and headed for the drive back to Split.  We drank a lot in the car, and had to piss really bad, so we pulled over in some small village, and drank at some guy's bar to use the toilet.  He was nice,  didn't speak English, and were probably the first and last Americans to visit his bar.  But a beer on draft for about $1.50 usd, not bad.  The drive back to Split wasn't terribly long, only like 2 hours ish.  Once you get the overview of Split though, it's another awesome view.  Once we returned the rental car, there was no problems, and we had time to get something to eat and drink and our ferry tickets back to Ancona.   We got a whole pizza and a lot of beer for the ferry, so we wouldn't have to eat their crap. I'm really excited to get back to Florence today.  Ciao.
